First,  A chocolate bar to anyone who can guess which course is ours??  Email your response to me.

Yes, Saas Fee #19 GS lanes, that's where we were today.  Pretty darn good training considering they got 20 cm. night before last.  As you can see it's busy with teams here trying to get there own fall preparation in.  Tom and I are pleased where everyone is at this point, still there is work to be done but the guys are in a good place.

We are moving to SL tomorrow and taking a crack at the short turn on the same piste.  But first Pics from today!

Today in Saas Fee we needed to dodge the weather bullet.  Unfortunately, we did not and got weathered out.  A little over night storm turned into 20cm of snow and high winds and the glacier remained closed for the day.  We will have to have some good luck during the next few days as there is weather around, but we'll continue with our plan and try for GS again tomorrow.
Great day to catch up on the studies, some computer work and a afternoon soccer game.

Nice Pics from today; Oct. 8, 2012
Really good snow in Saas Fee right now; firm, hard and tight, winter snow, just how we like it.  We had a super morning / early afternoon today as we stayed up and skied until 1:30pm.  Some of the guys jumping right into GS for a few runs after a longer morning of free skiing to get the cobwebs out, while Andrew and Tomasso reviewed some skills from the shorter ski length.  One really positive thing here is the skiing seemed to pick up right where we left off in Chile and anytime you can do that camp to camp, good things will follow.
More GS tomorrow from Piste #19, pictures will be up later.

Well we're getting snow now.!  Glad we have all our training in.  Looks like close to a meter by mid afternoon, so this morning we're going out to shred then come in for a late breakfast and finish getting packed up before we end to Santiago.
Great camp, one of the best since I've been coming doing here.  The staff is in agreement, we got all that we wanted to get done.  The guys should be very satisfied with their improvements.

See you soon.

Today’s GS session on Nevada Baja was quite different than the previous sessions.  We were greeted with several centimeters of new snow, flat light and some light snow falling.  Not to mention a challenging little gully of about 26 turns which has a slight side hill on the right foot and is always pulling you on the left.
The boys did a very good job right from the very first run.  The flat light and snow did cause some challenges, as they were not quite as aggressive as we have seen in prior GS courses but a productive day none the less.  Our sunny, bluebird days may be over for this camp so I am sure they will have a few more days to get comfortable with these conditions.

Another great slalom session yesterday on Astudio Piuquenes.  The guys had a lot of runs on a nice hill with breakover, about 25 -27 gates.  The snow wasn't as good as the day before but overall, still a productive session.  Snow is in the forecast.  Their having a year like the east did down here, so we'll believe it when we see it.  So for now we are going with GS and SL today and GS tomorrow and then take our chances on Thursday and Friday.
