The men wrap up a long weekend of racing, just in time for some wet weather coming in on monday, but the long range looks colder for the end of the week.
A group of seven travel over to Waterville Valley, NH for some FIS slaloms. Rough days of racing, as most guys are starting pretty far back and are working on trying to shave down their start positions. We have several guys that are no longer 990. Gotta start somewhere. Cameron Price moved up 71 spots on day one and Kip Spangler did a great job moving 79 on Friday.

Saturday at the Stratton VC GS, newly added PG, Tim Spangler skied to a 9th place with J. Scherding in 22.

Sunday at the slalom at Killington, Matt Beers was 4th and Jake Jacobs in 7th. David Schindler, showed his slalom skills to put him in 10th, Julian in 13th and Dan Martin, 15th. Michael Ferri, just missed the front page in 17th.
All could not out do former UNH skier, KMS coach Joe Dunn, who took first.

Next week the boys get a little speed action with some super g's up at Sugarloaf in Maine.

I'll be up earlier with Marshall to set 1st run, expect it to look VERY similiar to Friday's training !!!

I'll meet up with everyone at the start for inspection.

If you're wondering about wax, I'd say you're good with 6 or 7

It's supposed to start out cold & then warm up as the day goes on

Based on the current weather forecast you might want to have foul weather gear with you. I suspect it'll be a quick day & the potential wet stuff is supposed to hold off until later... but you never know!

The boy's didn't let a recent race postponement bother them. They went out on Thursday morning and had another excellent day of super g training on Needles. The hill is really coming along and serving itself well to a fabulous training environment for the athletes. For the second straight week you could really tell the boys comfort level has increased in speed. Nice job, guys, it will pay off. In the coming weeks we plan to get a little more detailed in some more aerodynamics and how that plays a roll in tactical decisions. Here are some pictures of Jake, Kenny and Marshall.

The boys had a excellent day of super g training yesterday on Needles. Somewhat bright skies and hard snow made the track super tight and quality training for the guys. Thursday is our super g day and we are looking forward to more of the same. Today, back to some slalom prep on middle super star for the VC SL at Suicide 6 on Saturday. Dress warm and see you then.
Pictures to come.

Nice work Boys. The guys really stepped up as a group today under tough conditions, very wintery, cold and blowing snow, however the racing surface was excellent. Dylan, Kip and Jake all punched into the top 10, in 6th, 7th and 8th. Followed by first year J2's Michael Ferri and Dan Martin in 12th and 14th. Julian Scherding and Ben Scheu, the former Suicide 6 tag team, rounded out the top 20. Marshal Tamsin, David and Kenny were 23rd, 28th and 29th.

Whiteface GS

The boys got some good experience on Drapers Drop at Whiteface today. KMS put six guys in the flip and ended the day with 2 in the top 10 and 4 in the top 20. Kip Spangler lead the way taking 7th, followed closely by Dylan Malone in 9th, Jake Jacobs in 16th and Michael Ferri in 18th. A excellent day for racing with prime racing conditions the boys cannot wait to get another shot at it tomorrow.
