The past two days have been busy in LaParva.  The second group arrived yesterday. (Friday's are always a busy day since it is the day that all the condos switch over.)

Yesterday was a early, long day on a tougher hill so the kids eyes were wide open!  But all in all, they rose to the challenge and did a good job.
Today, we went back to easy rhythm GS apex and saw some good improvements.
The afternoon we took advantage of training 2 runs and free skiing on the bottom of the downhill trail that we will be training SG on in a few days.

Tomorrow we go to "flight school".  The jump will be built tonight and we get first crack at it tomorrow to work on a jump progression for Tuesday's sg training session.

Monday, our second day off, then one more 4 day block before flying.

Another great day of training down here in LaParva.  We had Tortolas practically to ourselves again today.  We opened up the distance today so the kids could let it roll a little more and they made great progress.  Check out some pictures.
Tomorrow we will continue with GS and then get on our long skis for a few free ski runs before coming in for lunch.
Long skis means the speed track is getting ready and SG training is just around the corner.

And our English lesson for today!

Great day of training Tuesday high up in the Andes on Tortolas.  We pretty much had our own trail.  Some free skiing and drill work in a corridor and a 26m apex GS.  The kids got alot of volume for the last day and did a great job.

We are off today and start our next 4 day block at 7am on Thursday.  Rest up!  JB

Monday was another full day in LaParva.  The weather has been seasonable, pleasant and the snow staying good through most of the day.  We continued working on our basic skiing skills on SL skis in the am and then again taking some runs on GS in the pm.  This morning (Tuesday), our last day in the first block already, we'll be skiing on Tortolas up on top of the mountain for just one longer session.   Starting to dial in our GS skis and giving the kids a little taste of apex and pressure placement work.

The first day off tomorrow will be completely recovery;  sleep in, relax, eat and drink well and get ready for the next four day which will have some early morning session included as this is when the snow is best, crowds are low and we can be most efficient.

Good day!

Day 2, Full day 1 here in Laparva.  The kids rebounded nicely from their long day of travel to a full day of free skiing and drill work.  A lot of work to do and a short time to do it in so we didn't waste anytime working through some balance, alignment free skiing exercises with the primary focus of establishing the new foot and developing strong pressure when we need it.

A mostly overcast day and the clouds kept the temps cool and the snow conditions good for all that we needed to get accomplished.

A recovery and short sport afternoon wraps things up before dinner.  We will regroup, rest up and hit it again tomorrow.

You'll have to wait to tomorrow am for any pictures with the internet is barely allowing me to push this blog out.
