Whiteface gs run one

Even after all the rain and warm weather the race crew and coaches were able to put together a great first run for the mens gs. The hill was slipped and salted before the run and all the hard work payed off.
Dylan was our first guy out of the gate. After nearly missing run he skied well and finished 10th about a second off the pace. Andrew and Mike skied themselves into the into the flip, 24th and 28th. A little later in the run the heavily salted track started to break away and it was difficult to move up much. Kip just missed the flip in 37th followed by Ben in 41st. Dan Scherding moved up to 45th Julian skied into 71st and Kenny moved into 78th.
The guys are skiing well and moving up every run. With minimal changes to the course for the second run I am expecting to boys to continue moving up through the field.
